EUROVIA Silba, a.s. policy on environmental protection, health and safety

In line with our long-term efforts to maintain the significant position of EUROVIA Silba, a.s., the company's management has decided to build and operate an integrated management system for quality, environmental protection, occupational safety, and health protection. To achieve this goal, the company's management is committed to individual areas.

Quality area

  • offer customers the construction services defined in the contract, which will satisfy their required or anticipated needs and which will meet all general conditions, including legislative ones,
  • increase customer confidence in the construction work and activities of EUROVIA Silba, a. s. through continuous improvement of the quality system,
  • ensure the delivery of construction and other works in the required time, quality, and quantity,
  • gradually modernize the company's machinery to achieve the highest possible quality and efficiency of construction works,
  • achieve a stable high level of quality of EUROVIA Silba, a. s. works with a favorable price-quality ratio,
  • increase the demands on our suppliers and business partners,
  • improve the training system for our employees as co-creators of product quality and accompanying services, with an emphasis
    on adherence to technological discipline, expanding and improving qualifications, cooperation, and teamwork,
  • maintain and further improve the established quality management system in accordance with the ČSN EN ISO 9001:2016 standard,
  • involve employees in the Lifelong Learning Plan within the EUROVIA group,
  • introduce and support the gradual digitization of construction record keeping (CDE environment).

Environmental protection

  • achieve ongoing compliance with all legislative and other requirements to which the company is subject in the area of the environment
    systematically assess the environmental impact of the company's activities, manage them, and minimize them by applying preventive procedures,

  • gradually improve the conditions for storing chemicals at the company's facilities with regard to environmental protection,

  • conduct regular inspections of storage facilities for substances hazardous to the environment and improve environmental protection through preventive measures in case of accidents or leaks of these substances,

  • operate equipment and carry out construction activities with regard to the efficient use of energy and materials,

  • reduce emissions and specific fuel consumption by gradually modernizing machinery, giving preference to compliance with emission standards when purchasing and leasing,

  • continuously improve the environmental management system in accordance with the ČSN EN ISO 14001:2016 standard,

  • promote open dialogue with employees and regularly inform stakeholders about our activities, intentions, and results in environmental protection,

  • motivate, educate, and train all employees to carry out their activities in an environmentally responsible manner,

  • make maximum use of document sharing related to environmental protection through the Microsoft OneDrive application.

Health and safety

  • conduct all our business activities in a manner that protects the safety and health of our employees, business partners, and our surroundings,
  • continuously comply with all legislative requirements and other regulations to which the company is subject in the area of health, safety, and the working environment,
  • continuously improve the working conditions and environment of our employees,
  • inform employees and the public about the impact of our activities on occupational safety and health,
  • cooperate in the creation of a system for accident prevention and response,
  • eliminate or reduce unnecessary and unacceptable risks, choose optimal safety measures, and respond flexibly and adapt to ongoing changes both inside and outside the company,
  • strengthen employees' awareness of their responsibility for safety and health protection at all levels of the company and their cooperation in,
  • improving occupational safety,
  • carry out thorough checks on the use of PPE,
  • within the framework of MET 042 – Near-miss management, record and evaluate near misses,
  • continuously improve the OHS management system in accordance with the ČSN EN ISO 45001:2018 standard,
  • make maximum use of document sharing related to OHS through the Microsoft OneDrive application.
